Retail group announces managing director appointment
Home Retail Group’s director of strategic development Clare Askem has been appointed managing director for Habitat.
HRG acquired rights to the Habitat brand in the UK and Ireland after bring placed into administration.
The rights are for the exclusive use of the Habitat brand, its brand designs and intellectual property in the UK and ROI. Additionally, HRG acquired the Habitat UK website, three of its London stores and certain brand support functions.
Home Retail Group Chief Executive Terry Duddy said: “Habitat, with its strong style-led heritage, is an important part of the Home Retail portfolio of brands.
“Clare has extensive retail and marketing experience and under her leadership we will continue to build the iconic Habitat brand, and in due course leverage it appropriately across the group.”
